Studies have found natural remedies are just as effective as prescribed sleep medications. Everyone's body reacts differently to herbs. If you are on any prescription medications (especially blood thinners and heart medications) please consult with your physician before participating in herbal wellness. We don't recommend using herbal remedies during pregnancy. Now that you're ready to journey down the path of herbal wellness, we have a recommendation. Start an herbal journal to document your experience and find what formulas works best for your specific needs. We are not physicians and our recommendations are not approved by the FDA and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent illness or disease.
Ok! Lets talk sleep inducing herbs...
Valerian is the key ingredient in our sleep potion. It is often called "Nature's Valium," valerian has been sedating humanity for well over 2,000 years. As a stand alone herb the smell can be overpowering...and not in a good way. This earthy root's scent is very uncanny to the sense of smell. Thank goodness for Peppermint, :-). Valerian works to relax and calm the body. It helps quicken the speed at which you fall asleep, how long you sleep and the overall quality of sleep. Known for delivering peace and rest to those who suffer because of a racing mind and insomnia . Similar to valerian, passionflower, holy basil and California poppy are commonly used as a natural remedy for anxiety and to improve the quality of sleep. Holy basil is a sacred herb in some parts of the world. Keep your herbal journal handy because holy basil is known for inducing lucid dreams.
Formulated to give the gift of sleep, our Sleep Potion is hand-blended with love. We are particular about our herbs. We only use herbs we cultivate ourselves or are grown organically. There are few things that compares to the feeling of a great night sleep. Knowing we are doing all we can to help the environment and humanity co-exist helps us sleep well at night.
Precious' Words of Wisdom:
Insomnia can have many underlining causes. Our body can not function properly without sleep. If you find yourself searching for something to knock you out ...every night, take time to find the root of your insomnia. We live in a busy world. Every day is a set of new tasks and conquers. At the end of the day, we must learn to let go of everything we can not handle, turn it over to a being higher than self and go to sleep.
